project44's LTL Rating & Dispatch solutions enable users to:

  • Receive accurate rates and transit times for planned shipments. (Rating)
  • Automatically initate tracking without reliance on manual action. (Dispatch)
  • Receive all important LTL documents in a centralized location. (Imaging)

LTL Rating Workflow Overview

  1. The Customer requests ratings for a particular Shipment from one or more of its Capacity Providers in the project44 Network. This action generates a Query for rate quotes Request to project44 that includes the requested Capacity Providers and the Shipment’s details.

  2. project44 receives the Query for rate quotes Request, retrieves the credentials for each requested Capacity Provider stored during onboarding, and generates a Request to each Capacity Provider for ratings.

  3. Each Capacity Provider returns a Response to project44 with its proposed rates and transit times for this Shipment.

  4. project44 generates a Query for rate quotes Response to the Customer that includes these rates and transit times from each Capacity Provider.

  5. The Customer receives the Query for rate quotes Response and sees the proposed rates and transit times for the Shipment from each requested Capacity Provider.

LTL Dispatch Workflow Overview

  1. The Customer chooses a Capacity Provider. This action generates a Create a shipment Request to project44 that includes the chosen Capacity Provider, a request to schedule a pickup time, and a request to generate a BOL (Bill of Lading).

  2. project44 receives the Create a shipment Request and generates a Request to that Capacity Provider to dispatch the Shipment and return a scheduled pickup time. project44 generates a second Request to generate a BOL.

  3. The Capacity Provider returns a Response to project44 with a pickup number and scheduled pickup time2, indicating the Shipment has been dispatched. The Capacity Provider returns a second Response containing the BOL.

  4. project44 generates a Create a shipment Response to the Customer that includes the pickup number, the scheduled pickup time, and the PRO Number from the BOL.

  5. The Customer receives the Create a shipment Response. The Customer sees the pickup number, which becomes the confirmation number from the Capacity Provider that the Shipment was dispatched; the scheduled pickup time; and the PRO Number from the BOL, which becomes the Capacity Provider’s tracking number.

  6. project44 automatically generates LTL Tracking Start tracking an LTL shipment Request. Tracking of the Shipment begins.

LTL Imaging Workflow

  1. Throughout the Shipment’s tracking history, project44 has been sending Requests to the Shipment’s Capacity Provider, collecting documents like BOLs, Lumper Certificates, and Invoices at appropriate times.

  2. The Customer looks at what documents have been gathered. This action generates a Query for LTL shipment images Request to project44.

  3. project44 receives the Query for LTL shipment images Request and generates a Query for LTL shipment images Response to the Customer containing all the documents collected so far.

  4. The Customer receives the Query for LTL shipment images Response and sees a list of available documents.

  5. The Customer clicks on the desired document to view it.
